We have entered an era that challenges what, for many people, had been a somewhat predictable even if unsatisfying status quo. Around the world, people’s beliefs about the country they call home and about their fellow citizens are being challenged. As someone who has, from time to time, precipitated radical shifts in my life as experiments in identity and behavior, or has tried to adjust to circumstances that are not ideal, I hope my words and experiences with awareness practices offer some perspective, inspiration or camaraderie.
